Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Peonica Garden Theme Park . Now you arrive at the Natural Agriculture Travel Zone in Kusan City. The zone is located along the Suhong Airport Road and is a comprehensiveness of modern agriculture technologic development, modern agriculture tours and sporting activity area. It includes two parts, one is the national Agriculture Comprehensive Development Modern Model zone, and the other is the Peonica Garden Theme Park. The general area is 1248 mu. Now we arrive in the Peonica Garden Theme Park.
The theme of Peonica Park is “Return to Nature”. This one-square kilometer-large Theme Park provides tourism and sporting activity area, holiday resort rooms, conference food and beverages, and a variety of flowers products for sale. The total area is abourt 1248 mu, including 260 mu of water area. You can stroll in the flower sea and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery.
North Scenic Sights
(Peonica Garden Foundation Stone)
The stoneis the Peonica Garden Foundation Stone. The park opened to tourists on the 8th November 1998. Mr. Ji Jianye, who is the mayor of Kunshan; Knight Moyer, who is the founder of Golden Coast in Australia, and Mr. Liu Shaojun, who is the president of park attended to the unveiling together.
(Lotus Pond)
This is the artificial Lotus Pond. Lotus is the “Summer Flower” in the four famous Flowers. It is named “Fairy Flower”. Lotus is the symbol of love, sanctity and friendship in this country. In summer, over 1,000 lotuses will bloom. The main varieties are Water Lily and twin lotus flowers on one stalk. Twin lotus flowers on one stalk, Jeweled Flower and Kun Stone are “Three Treasures” in Kunshan. Water Lily is the national Flower in Thailand. It is named Deep-night Lotus and sleeping beauty. It blooms with sunrise and closes with sunset. It is very miraculous. A famous poet, Su Dongpo wrote a poem, “Afraid the flower sleeping in deep-night time, bright the candle shining the beauty”. It is a pity that the beautiful flower always sleeps at night. Mr. Su’s candle has never shined the beauty. When the summer is coming, you can sit in the Lotus Pavition enjoying the Lotuses, having a cup of tea and listening to the graceful music from the age-old radio. If you want to realize the special landscape on South of the Changjiang River, you can pluck the water chestnut by ship yourselves.
(Jeweled Flower)
Jeweled Flower is the one of “three Treasures in Kunshan” and starts blossoming from March to April. The pure white flowers disperse fragrance of muskiness. It can make you fresh, dispel cold and ease pain.It is said that the emperor called Suiyangdi went to Yangzhou for three times in order to enjoy the Jeweled Flower.
(Rose Garden)
It is a large-scale rose garden. Most of them are the hybrids of China roses and roses. Rose blooms from May until December, and it is named “Queen Flower” in abroad because it is elegant and dignified. Rose is the symbol of the sincere, love and friendship. It is the best present to friend. There is a moving legend in ancient Europe. It is said that the rose and Venous were born at the same time. So the rose means love, deep emotion and true-emotion. From that time on, the rose has been in tight touch with the emotion. Now the custom is spreaded all over the world. Every year, the price of rose is double rising and sold out in every shop at Valentine’s Day. Some rare varieties have the International significance Such as the famous “Peace Rose”, it is a new shallow yellow variety and bred by American horticulturists. The name has a great international meaning. In April 1945,people congratulated naissance of such a rare rose at International Rose Association. It met by chance that the liberation of Berlin. People awarded the horticulturist when Japan surrendered without condition. People named the rose “Peace Rose” for commemoraing the end of the war. American presented the rose to Chinese in 1950’s. The rose is blooming in Beijing and other cities. We provide a specific service to tourists. You can pluck your favorite roses at present.
(Buddhist Tearace)
There are nine old Buddhist Pines. We bought the pines from Huangshan Mountain. The oldest pine is over 1,200 years. It is the national important reserved tree. The original of Buddhist Pine is Guangxi, Yunan, Guizhou and Japan. They have the other name “Buddhist Gown”, because their seeds are black with purplish red stern and like the Buddhist’s long gown. The seed is ripe from August to September. They are tasted sweet and can treat asthma in the medical area.
This stone commemorates the president Jiangaeming who walked around the garden on October 5th 1998, the Mid-Autumn Festival. “Yuan” is a place for the ancient emperor hunting. President Jiang hopes the reunion of both banks of the channel earlier. So he adopted the unison “Yuan” in Chinese and altered the name of the park.
(Wedding Tree)
An old Buddhist Pine and an old Ginko tree have one root. They grow up in common, because they are longevity trees. They are the symbol of the couples love each other and live together forever. It is the base place for the newly-married couple. It has a very important commemorablemeaning.
(Camellia Square)
Camellia is one of the “Ten Famous Flowers” in this country. The original ranges of Camellia are Guangdong, Yunnan. Fikoam. It is the “City Flower” of Kunming. We call it “Tea Flower” because the flower can be drinked as tea. Now there are over 30 varieties in our park, such as Valentine Day, Eighteen Scholars, Nine Crook and Queen. The most precious is Golden Camellia. It is named as “Panda Camellia”. On Song Dynasty, a poet, Wang Peng once wrote “Admire Camellia”, “when I was awake in dusk, pleased to admire the Camellia, someone gave me on the road in winter, she is not the usual flower”. He expressed his stirring emotion when he saw the Camellia after his sleeping. He admired that the characteristic of the camellia, such as enduring heavy chill, resisting the wind and snow. The usual flowers can’t compare with it. The camellias were bought from Yunnan in the park. They bloom from December this year to April the next year. The florescence is quite long. And the leaves are green in the four seasons. They won’t away forever.
(Prunus Persica)
The Prunus Persica is classified into two categories, ornamental and edible after processing. It is used in the medical science. It blooms from March to April. The flowers are sumptuous and like peaches. It is the symbol of fairness.
(Cherry Forest)
There are the pure Chinese cherry trees in the park. In Tang Dylnasty, a poet, Bai Juyi wrote,” planted the red cherry nearly, entertainment when I take a rest”. Bureaucrats planted the cherry trees in the ancient times, in this country. The original range of the cherry tree was Changjiang River area in our country. And the cherry trees were planted as garden tree and became very famous in the Japan. Cherry tree blooms inn April every year. The florescence is gorgeous and momentary. It is identified with the Samurai’s spirit, which is the samurai sacrifice itself. So it is the “National Flower” in Japan, because the most of cherry trees are white and fall scatter with the wind. It is a symbol of unlucky. So few the Japanese families planted the cherry tree.
(Malus Spectablis)
The Malus Spectablis is Premier Zhou’s favourite when he was living. He and his wife planted Malus Spectablis. The red bud will turn to pink in blossom. The shape of the flower just likes an umbrella. The fruit is very small and like the apple. They can be eaten and mature from August to September.
We can see some big trees from this way. They are Sweet Osmanthus Trees. The color of the flowers are orange, yellow, white and etc. And they have different fragrance. The park is full of the fragrance of Osmanthus in September every year. The name of our park doesn’t mean that there are Osmanthus trees everywhere in our park.. The original president has an enterprise in Honkong. The name of enterprise is Peonica Enterprise. And the president is very interested in horticulture and hopes the park will be outstanding as like as the Peonica Osmanthus.
The red houses are holiday resort rooms. The equipments are all in readiness. There are six big and small conference rooms which are 580 yuan for each. The standard rooms in Building A are 350 yuan for each. The standard rooms in Building B are 300 yuan for each. Their differences are the equipment of VIP room is the best one which is four stars standard while Building A has a head service office and you can realize the really village atmosphere in Building B though it has no head service office.
(Magnolia Liliflora)
The violet Magnolia and white one are oultivated in the area. They bloom from the end of March to the beginning of April every year. Some of them could bloom inn June. Major of them bloom twice a year. The flower is very big and bright. It blooms at the end of branch with the light red and violet color. It is very beautiful and just like the jades. The magnolia was planted in ancient imperial garden. The white Magnolia is the “City Flower” of Shanghai. The flower is pure white and like the jades. They are so beautiful and set off each other. They bloom ahead of leaves.
Go ahead and there is the flower market and four high science and technology glass houses in the park. The followers in Clue House are dressed up the park. The usual varieties are, such as Qilin tree, Cactus ball and some usual desert plants, there are leaf plants in Shade Plant House. They can be used to decorate the houses and purify air. There are dancing orchid and fragrance orchid in the Rare Flower House. If you are interested in them, you can buy some of them and decorate your house!
(Pleasure Ground)
There is the younger pleasure area on the left road. There are swings, slides, single-plank bridges, and so on. They are used to culture the children’s independence spirit.
There is the Tourist Tree Planting Area on the right road. You can plant trees at married commemoration day, birthday and opening ceremony. We supply the Magnolia, red plum tree, red maple, Lagerstroemia, Buddhist pine, cypress tree and etc. you can choose the trees as you like. The price is 200 yuan every tree. We will notify you to enjoy the flower blooming and pluck the fruit after fruition. You can realize the feeling of “Former Planting trees, benfit the successor” in a few years. And you can recall the scene of plating.

(Zoo)
Going forward again, there is the pet zoo in the park.. There are pet dogs, ostriches, peacocks, sikadeer, goats, rabbits and so on. Not only you can admire these animals, but also you can feed them. You can buy them too. The rabbit and goat are green food without pollution and supplied to dining room in the park.
(Youth Apartment)
There is the Youth Apartment behind the zoo. We remould the apartment this year. And it is supplied the youth, students and employees for summer camping, winter Camping and enterprise cultivation. It could contain 468 people at the same time. We assemble the TV set, air conditioner and living necessities in every room.
(Outhouse training base)
Please look at the left of the road. There is base equipment for enterprise cultivation. It includes high room items and low room items, such as the breaking bridge, tumble and so on. Outhouse Training Base is the necessary activity to the employees who want to promote position. It is the best item to culture the employees’ cooperation in team.
(Activity Center)
We built the Activity Center for the all day team and scattered tourists in it. It could contain 800 people who barbecue at the same time. There is a showing stage for the theme action and barbecue.
(Mushroom Factory)
We all like to eat the delicious mushrooms. Do you know how the mushrooms grow up? You can learn these knowledge in the Mushroom Factory. There are many kinds of mushrooms. You can pluck mushrooms when you visit them at present.
(Suspension Bridge)
This is the “First Suspension in East of China”. The length is 86 meters. It overs the Fuli river. Now we can realize the feeling of thrilling, stimulating and challenging yourself. We must notice that only can it undertake 10—15 people one time. And this kind of feeling comes from the swing of bridge. So we must sway very hard on the bridge. Please do not forget to admire the scene on both sides of the Fuli River when you challenge yourselves. There is the playing pool, swimming pool and tennis court.
Now we arrive at the south area. Let me explain to you. The boundary line of north and south area is Fuli River. South area is the second period engineering. The area is about 900 mu. There is a mini Race-course nearly. There is the Super Rose Garden, Birds observatory, risker’s Paradise, and etc.
(Lagerstroemia)
The Hundred-years Lagerstroemia tree blooms from June to September. The color of flowers is violet, red, deep-violet, white and so on. Lagerstroemia is the longevity tree. People have cultivated it for 1000 years. It is said that Zhuge Liang lived in the Sangu House at Longzhong in Xiangfan City at Sanguo Period. He planted two lagerstroemia trees in his garden. It was very popular to plant lagerstroemia trees in Tang Dynasty. Not only did the common people like it, but also the official paid attention to it. “Tang Book” wrote: In original Tang, the official reform the Zhongshu Province to Lagerstroemia Province, and change the Zhongshu county to Lagerstroemia country”. So we call it palace Flower too. Bai Juyi wrote “Lagerstroemia Flower”, “write article quietly under the attic, the time is so long in the bell tower, who sits down with me in the dusk? Lagerstroemia flower faces to the Lagerstroemia man”. He expressed his lonely and distress feeling in the officialdom. The trunk of the tree is smooth. The whole tree will vibrate if you touch it. So we call “afraiding witch tree” too. It adds up to sentiment for people.

There is a flat platform. We can overlook the scene of the park. We have the special vegetable area, fruit garden and we have the particular gardener cultivate them. The vegetable is green food without pollution because we adopt the safe pesticide. The Fuli River produces the fish, shrimps, crabs. The zoo produces the goats, peacocks, colorful pheasant, chickens, ducks, goose. They are all green food. The characteristic of Peonica Garden’s is supplying the safe and satisfying food to guests. There are dancing rooms and multifunctional rooms. The guests could have a good time at the same time.
(On the Road of Wharf)
Multifunctional Room: we can admire the classical movies. Maling Room: Tourist can play cards, chess and so on. There is a Ginko tree which is over 300 years. There is the Cruise Pier. We supply many kinds of activity items on water. There a re dragon boats, palace boats, corsairs, lovers boats, boats and so on.
Dragon Paotong Tree: the tree looks like a dragon who is roaring at the sky. It is collected from the folk place.
Barbecue Area: It can contain 200 people to barbecue. You can bring the food by yourselves. And you can buy the food from our restaurant. We supply a place to picnic for tourists in field.
Melon and fruit Long Porch: there are gourds, towel gourds, grapes and etc. There will be very comfortable in summer for the flourishing branches and leaves.
South Scenic Spots
(On the way to south area)
Fruit Garden: There are strawberries, peaches, plums, grapes, persimmons, jujubes and etc. Tourists could spend 20 yuan and have a fruit buffet dinner. This is the Bell Tower. It commemorates the president Jiang visiting our park. You can bump against the bell and make a wish. It will bring you the good time all day.
This is the Fishing Torrace. You can enjoy the fishing delight in field.

Chicken, duck , goose are supplied to restaurant by the Animal Husbandary Area on the left of the road. Students can plant peach trees in the Tree planting Area when they traved in spring and Autumn.
(Langouste pond)
The Langouste pond in Peonica Park is a good place for tourists to go fishing langoustes when they are free. The tourists who get fresh the langoustes can cook it and enjoy it in our Riverside Restaurant and you can also make it in our Barbecue Area by yourselves.
(Feeding Field)
Dear tourists, our Feeding Field is to the east of Langouste pond. We feed our chickens, ducks and goose here. Now, you can choose the ones you like and bring them home.
(Fish-amusement Park)
Fish-amusement Park and Labyrinth are new items in the park this year. Neting fish is one of the best items for children. They can net goldfish with nets and buckets.
(Labyrinth)
Labyrinth is over 1300 centiares. It is a good place to develop the children’s intelligence. You can organize the challenging game if you are interested in it.
(Boer Goat Farm Breed)
We all know the goats, sheep and so on. I believe that you never see the Boer goat. The top of their heads is brown. It is imported from abroad. The price is over 5000 yuan each goat. They have very important commercial value.

This is the Super Rose Garden. The area is 50 mu. You can stroll in the flower sea when the roses bloom. You can arrive at Race-course if go through this way.

Now we see up to the Birds Observatory. We can look at the nature scene of the south area where is over 900 mu. We can see some wild birds, too.
